General Information:

• This model was painted all "Cloud White," except for the black & white wraparound cowl.
• The serial numbers was on a plate riveted to the swivel bracket above and between the clamp screws..
• Serial numbers 1441977 thru 1448139 were 1961 models.
• Occasionally, one of these engines may be found with a lower serial number than listed.  Some leftover Merc 300's were updated by simply exchanging the front cowl.
• Merc 350's were produced as Merc 350AM (Manual Starting, Short Shaft), Merc 350ML (Manual Starting, Long Shaft), Merc 350S (Electric Starting, Short Shaft, without Alternator), Merc 350E (Electric Starting, Short Shaft, with Alternator), and Merc 350EL (Electric Starting, Long Shaft with Alternator).
• It is not clear whether any Merc 350SL (Electric Starting, Long Shaft, without Alternator) models were produced.
