- The serial number was on a plate riveted to the swivel bracket above and between the clamp screws.
- Serial numbers 1935101 thru 1937374 were 1966 models.
- Merc 1100E Short Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator and Merc 1100EL Long Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator models were produced.
