• Serial numbers 2318586 thru 2413843 were 1968 models.
• Serial numbers 2484633 thru 2836018 were 1969 models.
• Merc 1000E Short Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator and Merc 1000EL Long Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator models were produced.
