General Information:
- This model was painted "Mercury Green" and "Dull Aluminum."
- Model & serial numbers were on the instruction plate riveted to the swivel bracket above and between the clamp screws..
- All Mark 50's were 1954 models.
- Mark 50 models were Manual Starting.
- Electric Starting Alternator Mark 50E models were also produced. In addition, a kit was offered to convert Manual Start Mark 50's to Electric Starting with Alternator.
- This model had no decals.
- The only place the Mercury name appeared on this model was in small print on a crown on the front cowl.
- This model used a special pressurized 2 line fuel system. Some engines may have been converted to a single line system with a fuel pump.
