• The serial number was on a plate riveted to the swivel bracket above and between the clamp screws.
• Serial numbers 2314956 thru 2483741 were 1968 models.
• Serial numbers 2536210 thru 2839368 were 1969 models.
• Merc 1250E Short Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator and Merc 1250EL Long Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator models were produced.
