• This model was painted all "Cloud White," except for the black wraparound cowl.
• The serial number was on a plate riveted to the swivel bracket above and between the clamp screws.
• Serial numbers 1566240 thru 1626019 were 1963 models.
• Merc 850E Short Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator and Merc 850EL Long Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator models were produced.
