1972 Model Merc 1400

General Information:

This model was painted all "Phantom Black."
The serial number was on a plate riveted to the swivel bracket above and between the clamp screws.
Serial numbers 3293234 thru 3502805 were 1972 models.
Merc 1400E (Short Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator) and Merc 1400EL (Long Shaft, Electric Starting with Alternator) models were produced. It is likely that motors were also produced with factory installed power trim.
